St. Vincent Ferrer Youth Ministry

Mission Statement

St. Vincent Ferrer Youth ministry program is based on theologically sound Catholic principles of:

·       Christology, focused on the Good News of the Gospel, and the inclusivity in the teachings of  Jesus and the universal call to salvation,

·       Ecclesiology, based on the non negotiables of worship, community, service, and proclamation  of the Gospel.

·       Sacramentality, developed from incarnational awareness of God’s presence in everyday life, thus exposing and confronting the factor of dualism in current religious circles.

·       Liturgy, centered on the action of the   Eucharistic celebration as the central and  primary prayer of the church.

·       and on principles of adolescent psychology  which acknowledge and

·       responds to needs for:

·       Self esteem, self confidence

·       Trust level with peers

·       Social interactions and occasions for “play”

We call upon the parish community to welcome,

support, and celebrate the youth

of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Community.
